The Bolshoi Theatre
Our world famous theatre with exquisite first-rate ballet and opera performances, an emblem of Russia and a number-one place  for all who like classical music.  The Bolshoi building, which for many years now has been regarded as one of Moscow’s main sights, was opened on 20 October 1856, on Tsar Alexander II’s coronation day. It’s better to book the tickets in advance, because the visiting of the main theatre of the country is a must-do event in the cultural life of many Russian and foreign guests.
The theatre consists of the Main Building and the New Stage Building nearby.
